CC2541 vs ST's BlueNRG

My project demands a low cost Bluetooth 4.0 solution.

Our embedded system will connect to the mobile phone via Bluetooth SPP Profile. We are evaluating CC2540/CC2541 and ST Micro BlueNRG Modules.

I was convinced that the BlueNRG modules will cost much lesser than the Texas instruments CC2540/2541 based modules including the Bluetooth stack, in the end product.

Our distributor is dealing with both the ST Micro and Texas Instruments products. But suggesting us the ST BlueNRG as a cost efficient Bluetooth solution.

I don't see any ST based Bluetooth modules widely accross the market, wheras the texas instruments CC2540/2541 modules are available widely. This is contrary with what the distributor is suggesting us.

Please guide me the cost efficient Bluetooth solution among these two.
