Let me tell you about my dream

Here I am, deep asleep.......I was with a guy friend of mine, and he was pregnant. He wanted me to go to his college with him for the day, so I did, and when we walked into the classroom everyone was wondering if I was the one who got him pregnant. I started feeling uncomfortable and decided to leave for a bit, so i went for a walk. In doing so I ran into my bf, who happened to be driving by. He picked me up and we drove around for a bit, missed our turn and drove straight through a penatentury fence. There were cops everywhere, and we starting arguing over stopping, or making a run for it. I was rooting for the run...lol So we just kept ramming more things in the pen...then i woke up.

But mostly I just felt the need to share the fact that i dreamt about a prgnant man, thats messed up!!!

If you want, make an interpretation.

Well, sometimes I think it may one day be possible for men to have babies. The world has already done so many things it never thought would happen. I think a pregnant man would be quite neat. And with most people pulling for 50/50 statis, i think it would be ideal, but there would probably be way more babies in the world, which may or mmay not be such a good thing.

well, sure, but there has to be more personal symbolism to it...if i had a dream that i got a guy pregnant i would want to know how that relates to my life. i can't write eloquently about what Jung knew about dreams, but one of hs theories was that every person in your dream is you-- and he also talked about male/female characteristics in both of the sexes. so, in a dream, if a man is pregnant, then it isn't what it seems, rather it relates to something in your unconscious.

Looks symbolic to me - perhaps it has something to do with (don't laugh) commitment. After all, you're talking about pregnancy and also about a penitentiary, both things which involve somewhat long-term commitments.

and here is another factoid about changing gender. Quohogs, which are the less dainty version of the clam, change from male to female about midway through their life cycle. i may have which sex they become mixed up...but the change takes place.

Those huge clams are also delicious when prepared the right way, but I digress.

I think the statement "So I was rooting for the run...lol So we just kept ramming more things in the pen" may need some explication. You're not Australian are you? 'Rooting' means something quite different there from what we call it here.

I was just getting paranoid about the large number of Aussies on this site....don't trust 'em, especially the bunny. Welcome, fellow Canadian. Now, in the context of this dream, what did 'rooting' mean to you? Im an archair Jungian, and I maybe able to help you with this.

#3, cheering. Like I was just gonna go down without a fight. Running from the cops is what I had in mind.

Freud: It represents the desire for female orgasm, which we are not sure exists.

Jung: It represents the meeting of two souls connected by a similar consciounsness that goes beyond the base, and cuts to the similarities between all people, all sexes.

I hope that helps.

Thanks cav! Can you go a bit deeper into what you mean by the "jung" statement, please?
