In another thread which I wouldn't force you to plough into I claim as I have always understood that if a distant clock is accelerated to (almost) c, through relativistic dilation as it swishes past us it appears to be stopped

Why is there so much disagreement

Depends who disagrees with you. If it's Quahog, One Fried Mind and DNA Thumbs Down I wouldn't get too het up about it.

I just perused your thread - i wouldn't so there is 'so much disagreement'. It's just parados pointing out that you haven't quite grasped relativity. You'll get there.
