I have a piece of crystal it is part of a candle holder, the base is made of brass I think, then the top that surrounds the candle is crystal, I am trying to figure out what kind it is and how much it would be worth, as Christmas is around the corner so im looking to sell it if I can. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

@ashamama87,
From your description it sounds like lead crystal with a brass base. Unless it is marked with a world famous makers name or is inscribed as having been part of the stuff onboard The Titanic, it is very likely to be bog standard ornamental ware and worth no more than about £20.

Not having actually seen it, it is almost impossible to give any better idea of its value than that, really.
