Homopolar Motor Science Fair

When you tried the experiment yourself, was it successful the first time? If not, what went wrong? You might find your project question there.

From my own experience with them in a Faraday flashlight (are you familiar with Faraday?), they don't work reliably after awhile. I had one in my car for several years for emergencies until I needed it and could not get it to work again. That might also be a good question for your project. Why don't they have a long working life?
