Child Support + Electronic Discovery

The mother of a child has put in for child support. The custody agreement with the father is 50/50. Both parents work full time. Mother works at a bar and reports income lower than it is (has verbally stated this), and posts photos on Instagram of her out shopping, buying expensive shoes, and going out to the bar / out for lunch and drinks at least once a week. Is a judge going to want to see this electronic discovery? Is he going to question why she's filing for child support when she's constantly out at the bar/casino/shopping? And will the judge be concerned that the mother is out drinking heavily on nights when the child is in her care?

@Bd610,
The support is for the benefit of the child. As long as the child is well cared for and she has documented the money is being used to provide for the child, it is not the business of anyone else what she does with her own money or how often she does it.

Same goes if the roles are reversed. If the father is providing adequate financial support for the child, it is not the business of anyone else what he does with his own money or how often he does it.

Child support is about the child, not the adults.

@Butrflynet,
In this case she is saying she cannot financially support the child but she's spending money shopping and drinking.

@Bd610,
The questions about what is admissible in a case (which is, e. g. what a judge will or will not look at) are legal questions that are beyond the scope of this website. Please ask an attorney admitted to practice in your jurisdiction.
