Due to kind assistance of Phoenix and CerealKiller, I can now boast that I have an avatar :-)
When I was making my choice, I was a bit confused.
There are so many and so diversified.
So, one might ask. Why did I choose two roses as MY avatar?
Simple.
Two is a number of companionship- unlike one.
Red is a color of vitality and life.
Red roses denotes happiness and romance. Something that makes you think about the first bouquet you received and the person behind it, as well as the reason. I received my first bouquet of pink roses, when a female friend of mine wanted to apologise w/o words. That was so nice of her!
Red and green are colors of strength and character.
Basically, these were few things that made me choose my avatar.
Well, mine was easy. I'm a chef by profession, and if you read the sign, the symbolism is clear. That reminds me....I have to see that movie 'Supersize Me.'

I love eyes. When I meet a person, the first thing that I look for is the eyes. I think that eyes tell a lot about someone. As a kid, I always doodled eyes!

Umm, yes, basically. It's a nice 'fix' once in a while, but not exactly a lifestyle plan.

Ovo-lacto veggie then, I presume. Or maybe no lacto. It's all so confusing. I do a lot of catering for people on special diets. Keeping up with it all is indeed a challenge. I'm not a veggie myself, but I do try to eat a balanced diet.

My avatar, Felix the cat, is well known Oz cartoon character, from way back. I like his cheekiness, his smile & happy disposition. And he reminds me of my own tuxedo cat.

Sonny San, seeing as you've rather recently arrived, you may not be aware of the bunny outbreaks that periodically flare here. Such an occurence happened just prior to Easter, and I found myself quite torn, wanting to be part of the bunny conversion, but not quite willing to surrender my true nature, so I compromised and chose the pastel feline!
Thinking it's about time for a change though...

I tried several avatars. First, this one...
They told me it would never get by the censors.
So, I tried this one...
I was told, "For God's sake, Gus, think of the women and children."
So, I eventually decided just to use my own photo, rather than experiment with cartoons.

Just in case you're curious about fast food, Safecracker posted this a few months ago. It's informative.
As for the avatars, not much reasoning went into the rat. It was cute, I grabbed it, and thought I would change it after awhile. These things seem to become part of the persona, after awhile.
