flashing LED timer off chip.

I would like to find out if it is possible to design a 9 volt circuit that when a small micro switch is switched on, 2 small red and blue LED's flash for a short time and then time out. The only thing is that the micro switch will still be in the on position.

Well, it's called a one shot timer.

R3 and C2 determine the length of time the LED is on. The on time T(on) is:

T(on) = 1.1 * R3 * C2
