Diwali is known as the festival of lights which binds the whole nation together. The celebration of Diwali is of five days, which starts with the occasion of Dhanteras and lasts till Bhaidooj. Indian families start their celebrations by performing the Diwali Puja in a fixed and ritualistic pattern in which various deities Lord Ganesha, Lord Kuber and Goddess Lakshmi are worshiped. Lakshmi puja is the most important ritual performed during Diwali and is also considered the best way of pleasing her.
