Is Kambe Banda Daughter of President Joyce Banda?

Blantyre — President Dr Joyce Banda on Saturday emphasized the importance of having role models and mentors in children's upbringing.

Dr Banda was speaking when she attended her last born daughter Kambe's bridal shower at BCA Hill in Blantyre.

She said she remained a proud mother to Kambe who is now a qualified doctor and a compassionate young lady, traits the president said her daughter took after her.

"At the age of 10, Kambe could save and ask if we could take the little she saved to donate to the elderly home and every time I asked her why she did that, she said she was just following my charity footsteps," President Banda said.

Also present at the shower was former government hostess Mama Cecilia Tamanda Kadzamira who tipped the bride-to-be on the power of respect to spouses in marriage.

Kambe Banda, the last born in a family of nine, is expected to marry David Zgambo on December 14 this year.
