Help identifying the artist of this oil painting

Hello fellow art lovers!
I recently won this pretty oil painting at an auction:

It's unsigned, but I was sure I'd be able to figure out the artist once I saw it in person, but the frame has no markings or stickers on it and now I don't know where to begin! Back of the canvas is brown, but not like 200-years-old brown. The painting is about 3x4 feet. Any help is greatly appreciated.
