Do we live in a cause effect world

I do because I am a retired electrical and mechanical designer who lived and died with all forms of cause and effect. Non engineer people who respond to posts, a different form of cause and effect, can relate with it, but rarely do.

True, but do they actually believe it, accept it as a fact of life.

What most don't like about cause and effect is that there is no free will, just endless links of happenings that can't be predicted or controlled.

I've known for years that I was just an observer of happenings in the world with no way to make a difference, that my power to make things happen stopped at the ends of my fingers, that all I could do was watch, wait, and hope.

How about you, when did you see the light?

Seeing the light isn't all peaches and cream. You still have to keep up the same old BS with your family and friends. Go along to get along, and all you get out of it is nothing, only the quiet, fleeting satisfaction that you are smarter than them.
