Ellipses in art.

I am looking to have two items engraved one for me and one for my wife. I am going to put on one:

Without each other...

and on the other:

...we are incomplete.

Is it appropriate to use ellipses to break this sentence into two like this? I feel when the items are not together it is clear the rest is omitted as it is not present and therefore it is appropriate, but when they are right next to each other it is more so just used to jump from one object to the next. As this is art I don't feel that the strictest rules of grammar have to apply, but I would very much appreciate any input, thoughts, or opinions on this matter.

I am also thinking of omitting the period at the end after "incomplete" if you have any input, thoughts, or opinions on that as well.

Thank you in advance for anyone willing to chime in.
