I finally decided I would go through all the songs on my karaoke list and eliminate all the duplicates because my books are out of hand big and expensive to print. Although the software removes duplicates after scanning my hard dirve, it does not consider Grammar or different spelling of title or artist so I needed to go through just short of 100,00 songs and do that by hand. Doesn't sound like much work you say> Okay, here's an example. "You're the one that I want". "Your the one that I want" "Your the one I want" "You're the one I want". Now go to the title column. You'll find it under John, Olivia newton, Olivia Newton John, Travolta, John, John travolta, Grease, Grease (Musical) and several different combinations of Olivia Newton John and John Travolta. I've been at this for 2 months. The eyes strain and neck strain are awful. My hat's off to proof readers. I'd kill myself.
@blueveinedthrobber,
My first thought was to convert the list of file name to a database of some sort.
Since I'm most familiar with Excel, I googled "convert file names to excel"
I clicked on a few on the links, some methods looked better than others.
I haven't tried any, but maybe this will work for you.
@chai2,
I also went on youtube and searched for that, came up with some videos too.
