I want to say that this forum is absolutely incredible. The level of intellectual discourge is unbelivable.
I learned sooo sooo much over the past few months and I hope that this place continues to grow and becomes the largest, most popular forum on the internet.
Yet, I find myself spending increasing amounts of time on here when I need to buckle down and focus on college. And no matter how hard I try, I am having difficulty not logging on here atleast a few times every day.
Thus I am requesting that I be IP banned from this forum either permenantly or at the very least a month or so(till summer starts).
I hope the moderators respect my wish.
Thank you guys. I will miss the conversations we have had here.
This site truly is great. And it has virtually every area covered except for....
A hot deals forum - where people can find any really good deals they find out about. These are getting to be very very popular nowadays. One where every thread is deleted after a week unless a mod chooses to save it.
A teen/dating forum. For people to talk about dating, meeting people, changes related to adolescence etc.
I think that if this place had those few areas covered too, this could be the ultimate source for people seeking information. Some day perhaps having 10s of thousands of members.
Edit: To get rid of the ideas that are already implemented.

I am almost certain that I can be banned from this site. If not IP banned, then atleast regularly banned, either forever or for one month, I don't care. I know this because I have recieved a one hour ban before unless I'm mistaken, I would appreciate your help.

Yeah sorry about that, I wasn't thinking when I wrote that. I was thinking of another forum actually.
I think a hot deals forum might not be such a bad idea though.
You would amazed at how many great free stuff you can find online, posters, games, what not. And there are so many coupons rebates etc floating around that you can usually find things at really really cheap prices.
This is why hot deals forum are getting to be sooo popular nowadays. I think of three I check often of the top of my head.
I also really like the idea of an adolescence forum. A place where teens cna turn to fo rquestions on anything and everything.
But I like the idea of one forum (this one) consolidating every possible forum on to here.

Would you really want to be banned? Why not just download your self one of those free kid protection programs like We-Blocker from download.com?
Or just block it in your hosts file.

Yeppers. Good luck with school. I don't see eye to eye with you on the hot deals forum though. It kinda goes against everything A2K stands for, and yes, spam spam spam. Looking forward to seeing you in the summer.

I think the hot deals forum sort of idea is the kind of thing that might make me look into the portal more often. It is one of things I follow at the cooking forum I frequent. Now, they've got a feature where initial posts are held for about 24 hours, til it is approved by a moderator (they have less support, with about the same number of members as here) which seems to keep the spammers at bay (the feature was added about 1 1/2 years ago, when there was a brief surge of spamming). It means, in effect, that only regular members can post things like specials in the Friday sale at Amazon.
Good luck, Centroles; I think that what you've decided is the right thing to do, although I will miss you. You really should get that idea about Internet-TV that would eliminate the need for adverts patented.
