should I expect side effects from having a chest tube inserted

First, two questions.....

1.What are you storing in the chest?

2. Are you likely to be squirting liquid into the chest via the tube?

If it's bedding in there, and you've answered yes to 2, then it will make the bedding damp and could result in eventual mildew.

He could be talking about those treasure chest bubblers that help aerate fish aquariums. I think you need a tube to plug into the chest from the electric water filter.

I didn't have any side effects. This is something you should ask your doctor or the doctor that inserted the chest tube.

Scarring of the lining of the lung can occur in few cases cause of the tube.
