Hello friends,

Sickle cell anemia is a blood disorder characterized by red blood cells that assumes abnormal and rigid. Sicx cell anemia occurs most commonly in people from various part of the world where malaria is common. Sick cell anaemia disease affect the blood cells and gradually spread the whole body.

Sickle cell anemia is a recessive trait--it doesn't appear full strength unless the recessive trait is donated by both parents.

The recessive gene does provide some evolutionary benefit though--the carrier of the recessive gene is provided some protection from malaria, consequently carriers of the trait tend to survive better in high malaria regions than those that don't carry the recessive trait.
