Pendrive Problem

i have an sony 4gb. when i was insert pendrive it successfully discovered by system. but not shows the pendrive memory size and also i cant open the drive. when i try to open it shows "insert the disk". and then i cant format the pendrive in win xp,7,8 and also unix.
