what material for embossed artwork beside copper and paper

Looking for proper not very heavy material like plaster and also not copper or paper to make artwork which has some dimension(embossed in sense) not flat like normal painting.Any suggestions? Thanks.

I used to do okay with zinc but I take it you wouldn't like that.
Let me suggest pizza dough.

Well, there are may materials out there to work with. Do you have any ideas yourself?
