I tried to upload some photos but no luck. Perhaps mine are more than 160 kbs whatever the hell that means. Is there a way to compress photos?

panzade, photos can indeed be shrunk, but I'm darned if I know how to do it. The computer folks here could most likely help you out.

You can't post photos to the photo gallery unless you're a paid member, right?

I have yet to figure out how to browse the galleries> I can open maybe two pages and that's it. Help.

Go to the gallery & click the category you're interested in. From there, to get into the subcategories, click one of the small thumbnail images.

No such thing as a "paid member". At one point Craven asked for contributions and has since expressed some regret for doing so. At least the site is still up, so thanks to those that did contribute. I sometimes use the "Shop" portal above, and when you do, A2K gets a cut.

Try resizing using Microsoft Photo Editor. It should be in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\PhotoEd\PHOTOED.EXE.

Actually, there is. There are private groups and galleries.

Just being an unpaid member, that is, most of us, we can post photos here almost indefinitely, I think. You just can't have a personal album without having a subscription membership.

Putting a photo in, there is a trick to it, having to get it down to a certain size. You can post a jpeg to another site, such as Raven's Realm, which somehow puts it into a thumbnail, and then post it here, if I remember the rigamarole correctly.
Or maybe you can do it from your own photo files, if the kb are low enough. See the Forum Help forum....

I enjoyed photos of members very much.
I wish I could upload my picture, but I haven't a digital camera or a device to put photos on my computer. Someday it may be possible.
