system restore

What have you tried?

I have tried the system restore points in the system prog...what else could I do ?

I looked it up and this is what I found http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971760

My pc doesn't have 7. My sister's does and I hooked up her system. I would have to go over there and look at the computer.

Did you try restore from safe mode?
or did you try restore from an install DVD?

Without knowing why you want to do a restore and what your computer is doing, it is hard to tell you what to try.
