Tolerance or Fatalism
Tolerance is a value which most people will endorse. But it has to be related with and against other values in order to make an intelligent end value. Simple tolerance may simply be futile fatalism.
Evidently a current survey reveals a "generational shift" in which the younger generation accepts multi-culturalism much more than those over sixty years old. But the mere fact that the younger generation will become the majority, and take over the country, is not proof of any virtue. They may simply be accepting what they find as fatalists who have grown up in a situation and accept it as natural.
In the 5th century or so, the great majority of people in what is now England were probably British [Welsh]. Only a minority Anglo-Saxon, but they had become dominant and the ruling class. This meant they were wealthy, which meant their families were more likely to survive. It seems that within a few centuries England had become Saxon in culture, and also largely in genetic inheritance.
In the present century, there has been no invasion of peoples taking over the country. But there is undoubtedly a large influx of peoples from across the world. There is no guarantee whatsoever, that traditional British culture, religion [cosmology] or ethical values, will continue into the future.
If this process is universal, then diversity of any and all kinds is likely to diminish to a grey conformity - eventually.

Well, the shopping centers are practically identical in all parts of the US. Shopping and merchandise are completely homogenized.
