There are reasons why I cannot tell you the whole story of this event... Locations are still secret.

BTW I think the liberty pole stories are true! Smile I believe in them.

I have no idea how old this is, I just know I found it about 5 yards from a 200 year old ship that had been burned to the waterline in and abouts the Machias area...

The star seems to date it but the numbers appear more modern. I wasn't there but this seems very old. It seems, as I said, made to sit nicely in a ship without sliding around. Perhaps it was left in haste. Or maybe it is a doorstop or something mundane but it seems to be stained with ink... I like to think it was part of the contents of this ship perhaps belonging to either a British commander or a colonialist.

Maybe it literally changed hands and fashioned a nation. Smile
