Last year I discovered mildew growing in my attic. I was told that I needed to ventilate the attic better, so I had a ridge vent installed. Now the mildew is worse than ever. What should I do?

@airventilators,
Tricky question to answer, I think benefits of ventilation are twofold reduce moisture levels all year round, equalize inside and outside temperatures and the impressive thing is the life of roof decking by reducing mildew.

Do you have air flow in the attic? Besides the vented ridge, it needs vents down low, such as on the soffits and also should have vented gables.
