Hi
I posted this yesterday, Wed Mar 24, 2004 8:32 pm
"Boston and MetroWest Kerry Supporters: FYI"
and when I went to check on it later, I got this message:
"Hamster 157890980 reports - The topic or post you requested does not exist or has been moved to a restricted area".
I e-mailed to ask where/why, and was told to ask a moderator.
I haven't figured out how to do that. I clicked on a moderator's name and just got a list of her posts.
My topic is pretty limited, the event is tonight! So I'd like to know if anyone saw it, and if anyone is interested, yet I don't know how to find that out. Please help! I'm confused. Confused

It may be because A2K (quite rightly, IMO) frowns on 'promotional' web-links and/or doesn't want to be seen to have a political bias to one party over another.

Try sending a PM to 'moderator', and one of them will get back to you when they get a chance (they are busy people though so it may take a while).

Well, I checked the HELP page, and I believe it said not to send PMs to moderators. And I didn't put this in the specific "help section" because I'm not sure how often that gets visited.
However, I don't think it's politically-biased to let people know there is a John Kerry meetup tonight!

Sorry for the wrong info! I was just guessing about the political bias thing. There have been some heart-felt discussions recently about links (in signatures/posts/profiles) and at least one long-time member left because she had a link removed.

Even if it wasn't removed because of politics, it may well have been because it was promotional. I'll have a look around and see what I can find for you on this subject.

The Help forum will be looked at by members as well as moderators, because your topic will appear on the 'new posts' list along with all other posts in other areas.

There is also the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page, which has a form to submit help-requests.

Try re-posting your question in Help. You can just copy & paste to save typing.

Please do not use this forum or the tech support forum to ask about moderation issues.

Suzy, you have already asked about this through the help line and were referred to the moderator account (as the help line is also for tech support). Here's a link to PM the moderator account.

In any case, I'll answer your question now. You posted your message for the purpose of soliciting members for a cause. It does not matter how just you think the cause is. This website is not for solicitations.

From the Able2Know Terms of Service:
