Outlook Express - Can't delete emails

A while ago my system started refusing to delete emails. At first some would not delete and now none will delete.

The system won't let me move the emails from the inbox to the 'deleted items' folder. The best I can do is move a message from the inbox to a new folder and leave all the stuff I don't want in that folder. But the system won't let me delete that folder. So it's filling up storage.

Can anyone help?

Sounds like either Outlook Express the program became corrupted, or perhaps your mail file did.

An idea - back up the messages you want to keep, uninstall Outlook Express and then try reinstalling it. At least eliminate that as a possible issue.
