Hi All: I'm having trouble with plural agreement.
I have two paragraphs below but am not sure which, if either, is correct.
To be clear about what I'm talking about, the men had different lawyers, were wrongly detained at different times, and filed their compensation claims separately. However, Miller is the psychiatrist who evaluated each of the men.
What is the rule here?
Thanks in advance.
Miller conducted psychological evaluations on 18 victims at the request of the men's lawyers, who wanted him to provide a report on the psychological impact that wrongful detention had on their client for their compensation claim.

There is no "rule", Ron. I think you are unnecessarily freaking yourself out with
GRAMMAR.
Did the lawyers want a report or a number of reports on each victim?
