Repeat Group Headers on Multi-Column Crystal Report

Reply Fri 15 Feb, 2013 01:21 pm
I created a multi-Column Crystal Report that has 2 group headers. I want the the group headers to appear at the top of each column as they would on a new page. Does anyone know if this can be done?

@CurtHugo,
What software program are you using for the report?

@Butrflynet,
Crystal Reports ARE the name of the application ... a general purpose reporting tool. It used to be bundled with MS Visual Studio, though they're not bundled anymore. MS released their own competitive reporting tool, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Sorry I can't help. I haven't used Crystal Reports since 1998. I would use the Help feature in Crystal Reports.

This may or may not be relevant.

As I recall from Hyperion, which is a competitor product, we needed to use Vb code and just decided to hell with it, and fixed it by putting the report into Excel.

@Butrflynet,
The Crystal Report is launched from a VB.Net 2008 application. I was able to get the group headers to appear above each column in MS Access. I rewrote the same report in Crystal.

@Ragman,
Have you used the SQL Server Report Writer? If yes, how do you like it?

I have a lot of experiece developing reports in MS Access. The group headers work the way I would like in a multi-column report in Access. It's a great report writing tool.
