How can I trade foreign stocks in real time?

I would like to be able to trade stocks after Wall Street closes. Although E-trade allows its U.S. customers to trade in markets like the London Stock Exchange, it only allows trading during local hours. Is there another method that would enable traders to continue to make money after the U.S. market closes?
