Kata, Thailand is located in the southern region of Phuket and is made up of two beach regions, namely Kata Yai and Kata Noi. Kata is sparsely populated and contains only a handful of resorts and hotels making it the ideal destination for those looking for a quiet beach getaway in Thailand. Kata also has a jungle hills region which is ideal for nature lovers and is close enough to Patong for those looking to enjoy some of Thailand's nightlife.
