I am having trouble with 226d - 'one of the gospels'. I think it could be 'emanuel,' but cannot get it to marry up with my other clues. I could change 232 across from 'optimum' to 'optimal' but I have 'enlarge' for 246 across. What can I put for 246 across 'expand' if not 'enlarge'? This would help to get 'emanuel' to fit.

I haven't started this one yet, but there is no gospel of Emanuel, so you might want to rethink that.
