Should I use glass or acrylic blocks for a window?

Hello Members,

It is a 32"x24" space. Is 50 pounds too much for the existing window frame? What would the best option be for a bathroom window? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My guess, 50 lb ok but if it's on the upwind side of the house blowing sand will dull acrylic
