Hi Everyone,

Being a volunteer soccer coach means that for approximately 6 weeks you donate your time, patience and soccer skills to helping children learn to play soccer. You are in charge of calling parents, scheduling practices, gathering everyone for pictures, getting everyone their uniforms and teaching the children how to play and love soccer, collaborating treats and handing out trophies.

Go to your local Recreation Center and ask when their soccer seasons are. Some Rec. Centers do just Spring soccer but most do Spring and Fall soccer. Ask them when their soccer seasons start and when the games are. If the schedule works for you they will have a signup sheet for you to fill out. If you have a child and you want to coach their team you will be able to put your child's name down on the same application.

The experience needed to coach will depend on what age you want to coach. The three year olds have a hard enough time just kicking the ball down the field without some coaxing from their parents while the eight year olds are old enough to actually try-out for private soccer teams. Coach whichever age matches your soccer knowledge.

Thanks and Regards,
Alexis Allen
