Mod a D1 Xbox Controller

Hello Guys,

The Xbox game console may be outdated, but the D1 Xbox controller that came with it is still a uniquely shaped and button-heavy gamepad. You can modify (or “mod”) the D1 Xbox controller so that it can be used with a Windows-based computer. The modification doesn’t require altering any electronic components or opening up the controller or the computer. A few hardware tools are needed along with an inexpensive USB cable that can be purchased from a computer or electronics store.
