Hello all,

How do those new flat LED street lights save energy ?
In my town they have been replacing all the old street lights with those new LED one’s that are flat. They are white and very bright, unlike the old ones that are dim and yellow, so how do they save energy if they are brighter, and why are they flat?

Thanks and Regards
Jesse Chen

@JesseChen,
Jess the old ones must have been incandescent, requiring much more power than LED

I hope someone can explain the advantage of flatness
