18d.... Chance to go into Saharan dominion. Have r?n?d?
26a.....No, engineer is not getting ideas. Would idling be correct . That is the "d" in idling that i have in above "r?n?D?

First one looks like... Saha
ran dominion...(=chance)
which would give an "o" in the second.
Is your letter count correct ? ...looks like
notions (annag "no"+"is not")
