Hi all,
Does any one know weather water pipe fitting with compression connection and the like or nut fitting threads are in the same direction as mechanical nut and bolts i.e. turning clockwise for tightening and anticlockwise for loosening? Any help would be appreciated!

the threads will be right hand (standard) unless you are working with a coupler...
