White racists abhor black people. Obviously

But many white racists love to get a nice deep suntan. Now why is that ?
Does it make the racists hypocrits ? Or are they just so much burnt toast ?

I don't care what color a person is. For the record I'm a whiter shade of pale, living in a multi-ethnic town.

Just goes to show the racist thing doesn't make any sense, it's just shades of color.

I'm so white, I'm blue.
Getting a tan used to mean you were rich and could afford the life of reilly. Red necks were related to hard work in the fields.

I've often wondered about that myself, the popularity of tanning in a racist society. I've heard people say that they feel and look better with a tan, healthier, more robust, and somehow, roasting in the sun to achieve a darker skin color is just not associated with their feelings about people of color, whatever they may be. Somehow, one has nothing to do with the other. Go figure.
