Can anyone please help with this clue 54d expresses clearly which keeps coming up as ENUNCIATES, but it cannot be as the first letter has to be A which is clue 53a russian emperor TSAR, and the third letter for clue 54d is l am sure an T,which is the clue 65a aquatic mammel -otTer, so for 54d the letters are A?T?C?I?TES would appreciate help. thanks.
You probably have other options:
Russian emperor - Oleg.
Mammal: Otary..
@Strauss,
i have articulates as well
Good Luck
@margsy,
Thank you Strauss, l had thought of articulates and will try and fit your word in later on ,thanks
@Strauss,
l went over the grid with all that you suggested,but Oleg does not fit,then l tried articulates and found that for it to be this word l had to alter 85a cake portion from PIECE to SLICE then it all fitted together nicely.Thank You/
@margsy,
I'm always eager to articulate a brief slice of Russian history or a piece about aquatic mammals but, in the absence of the grids, I need the exact enunciation of the clue, ;-))!
