Am stumped on a couple of clues namely 2 dn and 28 ac.
If 28 across is Rhode Island what is 2 dn which is clued ADOLESCENT (5) and I have A?U?H. Or if 2dn is ADULT (5) what is 28ac where I now have RT?DE . 28 ac is clued America's .......island. So really need to know 28 ac and 2dn.

Not having the puzzle in front of me makes it difficult, but I'm thinking that 18ac could be Ellis Island instead of Rhode Island (same number of letters). But 'adult' for 'adolscent' is kind of lame.

For28a I have Rhode Island(I'm originally from the States) and for 2d I came up with youth as 1a is pyjamas for sleepwear

Sorted this one out yesterday had PYJAMAS spelt PAJAMAS but once corrected was O.K. Thanks anyway.philcottie
