Pocket watch model number?

Hi,

I bought a Gruen quartz pocket watch. I am not able to find the exact model of that watch as there is no other information of that watch written anywhere on it.

The serial number may be written in the inside of the back cover but i don't want to open it as the watch is under warranty provided the back is not opened. I bought the watch from a garage sale.

The back side of the watch is the exact same as the front side. Here are some pictures: http://imgur.com/a/3mlFm#12

I'd love to know what model is it.
Thank you, Mars

@mars90000000,
Take it to a reputible watch repair place. They'll be able to either identify it for you or tell you if the identifying marks are located inside the case.

This quote from your post is suspect. How do people selling a watch at a garage sale provide a warranty? Does the thing work? Are the insides empty?

Whenever the guy bought it, it came with a 5 year warranty which he filled the form for. I would assume wherever he bought it from, he bought it 3 years or so ago. If anything happens, i can mail the watch to the address given with a return address. I think there is still a year or year and a half left on the warranty. The watch works well.

@mars90000000,
Personally, I wouldn't worry much about the warranty. My Timex has gone through three bands in the past five years and still keeps perfect time.
