rick, chiefly British, WRENCH, SPRAIN (Merriam Webster Collegiate Dictionary, their caps, I have no idea why)

and also rack: the action of straining or wrenching (same source)

Hi Maisey
I have had one of these and in my case it was called a crick, have just looked at crick in my best dictionary and it give the alternative rick ( which I have as my answer) Good Luck
