I get them from only one source - Marks & Spencer in the UK - and HOPE that they are treated well. Who knows, though, so much cruelty in the world, and so often the recipients of that cruelty are animals.

Fish stupid - poor things. We used to have an aquarium of tropical fish, and one day came down to find the Siamese Fighting Fish had bitten one of the Rainbow Tetras in half! Poor little Tetra - it was swimming around as if nothing had happened! I'm sure the Siamese had some intelligence though - beautiful, and friendly - well, to us anyway!
