Freeware program for increasing typing speed?

I learned quickly this way -

Address the typewriter/keyboard with your hands positioned with your left index on the F and your right index on the J.

Type a few sentences while looking at the keys - such as The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.

Train yourself not to look.

I learned to type when I was fourteen, over a month or two of not very intensive efforts on an old clackity typewriter. You will develop a feel for the keys - mostly.

I do need to learn to type the correct way but I have some really bad habits that are going to be difficult to break. Thanks for the link and advice, though.
