The eclipse will begin at 7:33 p.m Mountain Time between the sun and Earth. The area of maximum darkness will be visible on a path some 150 miles wide stretching from eastern Asia across the Pacific Ocean and into the western United States. Seen from above, it would look like the moon's round shadow is racing across the surface of Earth.
The next solar eclipse will be in November, mostly over the South Pacific.
Our Dolly and Madison dogs like to look up in the sky. I hope they get to see it on a night without clouds since it will pass right over our house.
