When to use parameters in method ja when not?

(java programming and programming in general) Problems understanding when to use parameters in method ja when not? Eq. there is a method of some class and we need to use in it attributes of that class, then it is not needed to put those attributes as parameters when introducing the method. But for the rest when to put parameters into a method and when not is unclear.

I wish that folk would put the questions they answer to the watchlist so that they can watch when the questioner puts feedback on the question
