My only real problem with those clues was, being an American, I had never heard of a game called Grouse.

Rich Americans pay $$$ to go shooting grouse and other "game birds" on the estates of big landowners. Brits can't afford it !

Yeah, it took me quite a while to make the connection between "grouse" and "game." Some mornings I'm slower than others.
