I bought a set of beautiful ceramic plates a couple weeks ago from Wards. They are dishwasher safe so I washed them in the dishwasher and put them away in my cupboards. Now when I pull them out, weeks later, I see they are sweating profusely....... what on earth is causing that??? It's so bizarre! I may have to return them.

@Whelanl,
They are probably not glazed properly. I'd bring them back.
Are they very colourful? If so, the paint may be a lead base which is very dangerous, and should only be used for display, not daily use or for food or drink ever.

"are sweating" denotes that they are constantly wet. Is this the case?

Once you dry them, do they become wet again/

Or when you pulled them down from the cupboard, they were damp?
Could be the bottoms of the dishes held water, and when the dishes were stacked, the plates got wet.
