This recently came up in discussion, and I was wanting to find out what the temperature of oil is when it's being drilled.
It should be hot, but the person I was talking with states that it's not warm at all.

It's hot down there, but I don't think I ever heard exactly how hot. It depends on the depth, of course.

Yes, while drilling oil it must be hot.
