We got about 6" of snow today and it was a hassle driving home in it. But I just let the dog out in my backyard and took a minute to look around. It's no longer snowing, but it is still very cloudy. On most cloudy nights I can't see the dog once she's gone 6 feet from the back porch, but tonight the entire backyard and well beyond is clearly visible.
The snow makes my backyard look like a very clear, very lovely black and white photograph. Isn't it wonderful?
Of course it helps that I can't see the little yellow spots at night -- they kind of detract from the beauty.
When I lived up north, I used to love the dry powdery snow. I would walk outside at look straight up into the sky. I loved the feel of it on my face!
